I wish I could say I am an avid reader, but unfortunately i'm not. I love books that don't need much thought, just keep me entertained. My favourite author in this genre would have to be Janet Evanovich. Janet has introduced us to the world of Stephanie Plum, bounty hunter extraordinaire. Set in the city of Trenton, New Jersey, Stephanie is joined by a myriad of other regular cast members that expand 15 novels and several "in between" novels. Janet's writing is witty, different and totalling spell-bounding. I am the person at the book store on release date and usually finish the book that day. If you haven't read any of Janet's books, do yourself a favour and loose yourself in a world of crime, murder, terror and laughter (not to mention imagining what Ranger and Morelli really look like....)
Other favourite authors are Helen Fielding (of Bridget Jones' Diary fame) and Dan Brown. I am also a fan of Paullina Simons early work. The story of Tatina and Alexander should have stopped after the first book, The Bronze Horseman. Sometimes you don't need to know anymore than what has already been said.
I am bookless (if that is a word) at the moment and needed some inspiration on what to read next. I didn't expect it to come from a movie I only watched because nothing else was on tv. I will be seeking a copy of To Kill A Mockingbird at the library tomorrow. It's not often a movie leaves me wanting more, but the story line intrigued me and now I can't wait to start.

Thanks for the reading suggestions...I'm always looking for a good book to read.
